@trygve_lie LOL! Doesn't mean NiN and Trent Reznor aren't amazing in their own bizarre right! Love 'em.

@trygve_lie Especially since there are so very few truly great American heroes!

@trygve_lie They are. And, Johnny Cash is one of my great American heroes, so you know, it's hard for me to be objective about him at all ;)
Replying to @darington
@darington I heard Black Sabbath's first album (self-titled) when I was about 14. I was paralyzed and mind-blown and forever changed.

@saalon Totally agree. I think it's a set up for marketing, frankly, which I find to be generally icky and stalkery as it is! :)
Replying to @claudiasnell
@claudia_snell I like Faith No More, a lot.

@darington That's a good point, but in the case of War Pigs, well Black Sabbath - hard band to beat in irony or vocals.

@trygve_lie I'd call that an interpretation rather than a cover, honestly. It departs from the overall original speed/structure of the song.

@cgrymala Hmm, I'll have to listen. I have not done so.

@kev_nz I did write p0wned, now, did I not? ;)

Ugh, Twitter's brought that ugly and for me useless Activity feature back. I was in bliss without it.

I still like Black Sabbath's original War Pigs better than Cake's. Few covers are truly p0wned, such as Johnny Cash covers "Hurt" and "One"

@csunwebmaster They transcend genre, don't they! #cakemusic

WOW. Did not realize Cake had done a cover of War Pigs (Black Sabbath, Paranoid, 1970 - a TRUE classic) youtube.com/caINuHPKkFQ

@kapowaz A Cake classic! The Distance shows off Cake's astonishing timing, another aspect that makes me adore 'em. #cakemusic

@Baxley wherever you are, we'll figure it out! Of this I have no doubt. :)

@Baxley @matt_munsey No problem, when I'm with truly close friends I'm far less possessive about my personal space. Sounds fun! Must plan.

@kplawver Can. Not. Type. Laughing. Too. Hard.

@runtyrobot I believe education must serve a role, as must parents. Critical analysis skills are necessary tools in the information age.
