@mikecane Biologically a fruit, classified conventionally as a vegetable. So people think it's a vegetable. But it is actually a fruit :)
@Step_Quick I highly doubt it was protesters in the area I heard the action. Robbery, drug bust or accident, I suspect.

@meriwilliams It creates a vicious cycle - taxpayers paying for .edu, tuition from loans for .edu which comes from tax it's a broken system.
@meriwilliams The majority of Unis in the US are mixed. All-private Unis are not uncommon, but the hybrids of public/private dominate.
@meriwilliams Oh they do research! It has to be funded somehow, so that comes through tuition, tax-based federal and state funds, or grants.
I think the .edu issues under discussion are profoundly important, but the discussion is definitely far too complex for 140 character shots.
