Because, after all, women might be soft. But I've met PLENTY of soft men too.

Words are extremely potent - perhaps the most potent facility we have with one another. Women as the "softer side" is a sexist statement.

For the record: I personally found Paul Cotton to be a very polite human and I am certain he did not mean to be sexist. And yet his words?
@johnmcc @shelleypowers We are talking about the browser panel at #w3conf. And it is inflammatory. I am certainly inflamed at the moment.

@megcarpen @KuraFire Thanks Faruk! You always work to take the higher road, and I love you for that.

@lindanisbett Thank you for that. I do feel my contributions are valuable. I just think it was a ridiculous and unfair oversight.

@KuraFire Say this to Doug "Excuse me SIR!" and then make your point. @megcarpen @w3c @shepazu ;)
@shelleypowers I would finally have liked to meet you, Shelley! Ah well. It's so strange because we had a very good #tpac a few weeks ago.
@lindanisbett Of #w3c, no. As an advocate of their technologies and philosophies, since 1993.
