I think the main point is clear, @absalomedia. Proprietary solutions make for vendor lock-in, which is not adaptable. The Web is adaptable.

@Vivdora Through inline video in HTML5 is the idea (open). I'm sure the codec they use will be H.264 however (not open).

The Flash issue is a huge vote for Web standards - even if you take the HTML5 issue out of the equation. Open Web skillz are more adaptable.

@cdwise ooh, Almonds! You know what else they help? Migraines and headaches.
