@joshbroton We're working on that too. Early days for both. These are tough problems to solve, but implementation is difficult.

@richquick IOW, we can't do that.

@richquick Actually that, as @t might say, "a known antipattern"

Topic: CENTER POSITIONING. Setting a box explicitly centered to its containing block. At least it's being discussed. #css #tpac2011

@richquick LOL! Yeah, wish I could do that. We we'll see improvement, but we can't break the past. Part of my work here is to sync language.

@tmertz To be honest, I wish they'd never let it in. I blame those webkit kids. ;)

Well that one was far too easy for a #css working group issue.
Topic: CSS Value and Units. Remove fraction and grid types from CSS3 Values and Units so as to move module to CR? No objections. RESOLVED.

Okay folks, ready or not (i'm sorta not, more coffee!) it's day two of the #w3c #css #tpac2011 Who's with me for the ride? Shout it out!

@keranm It works beautifully for touch response too. I seem to be more excited than some. Think the New York Times reader, but done w/ CSS.

@keranm I liked it a lot. Think about multicol, but each column takes up the entire browser canvas. You then have controls to paginate.

For Halloween, I'm going to be a user style sheet. I'm just not sure how I'm going to pull it off. (that's both an idea, and a twisted pun!)

@BenjaminReid We're actively teaching lots of HTML5 and CSS3 and neither are finished. Implementations are ramping up in both.

@BenjaminReid Actually "core theories for laying out a site" - if you mean absolute positioning and floats, hold on to your hat kiddo!
@karlstolley Absolutely, I embrace it! What do you think I'm doing in these meetings after all? ;)
