Ensuring two interoperable implementations prior to publication means that there are already two interoperable solutions. #css

FYI: CSS implementations are far more interoperable than before. We are now chartered to have two implementations before a module publishes.

@keranm For Håkon's work, no, it's still an editor's draft and he was presenting the idea to the group as a module spec. I'll keep ya posted

And we're done for the day. DINNER TIME for the hard-working, brilliant, fabulous folks of the CSS-WG! #css #tpac2011

Håkon to @shepazu "What direction is 'next' in your culture" Doug responds "I'm American, Sir. I have no culture!" Hilarious! #tpac2011 #css

@BenjaminReid In addition, #css is becoming a lot more scientific/mathematic and ever harder to teach to designers, who need to use it!

@williamvdodson Different animals IMO. This is open standards, vendors can extend how they want, but this is the core tech for all browsers.

@BenjaminReid The complexity and amount of stuff that's emerging very quickly - far more quickly than we've seen from #css in history.

@sabotek That's my first advice when people ask me about careers in Web: best enjoy lifelong learning and an environment of change! :)

@restiffbard No, modularization solved that. Each of these modules can be thought of as mini specs as they pass through to rec individually.

@Sushubh He's so much fun when he gets all excited! He's totally in his element at the moment, and it's a good way to end this long day.
@kplawver That was a joke of course, things are going very well in the group, but you are sorely missed!
@kplawver It's all downhill without you, kiddo ;)
Håkon is demoing beautiful paged media style options awesome for cross-device design. Beautiful on desktop, pads, smartphones #css #tpac2001

With the #css wg working more openly, it becomes easier for us to know what's important to learn or at least be ready for down the road.

@sabotek I don't think it's a bad thing as we're solving real problems and providing a wealth of features.
@kplawver The basics are becoming less basic. Think about teaching Selectors Level 4! or explaining template layout, etc. etc.
Makes me chuckle that someone asked one year at SXSW if the #CSS discussion was finally over. Ha! "We've only just begun ..."
