That #sxsw has grown so large is actually a surprise to many, I think. Up to and including its creators and organizers.
Context: for those of us (me) living in the US Southwest, #SXSW has been our regional music/film/interactive festival for 25 years.
@Tuna I ask Hugh Forrest the numbers each year and each year he just looks at me and smiles a bit wider.
I am pretending there is no such thing as "The News" - It is peaceful here and I will deal with the ongoing drama of 2011 tomorrow.

I remember when we only needed a handful of hotels for #sxswi. It got so huge I freaked and backed away. Feeling good about it again.
So who's on for #sxsw? It's insane, I know, but I'm going and I am really excited! I need advanced intel - let me know if you'll be there.
