I've compared Twitter to a pub before. Maybe that's just it. We party on the good days and tell our tales of woe on the rough ones :)

I sure tweet a lot when under emotional distress. Why is that?
And don't forget, Arizona has given rise to some serious home-grown terrorists: Timothy McVeigh anyone?

This is how fucked up Tucson is with the guns. When I was in High School in 1976 kids were playing Russian Roulette /cc @kleinemocha

@simpledream Hey Lance, good to hear from you despite the sad reason. Hope you're doing well otherwise?
yep, @kleinmocha you were ahead of me, I spent time in 1976 at Tucson High. I was there during the race riots and before the electric fence.

@kleinemocha I can't do even simple math after 2 beers. Sad but true.

@kleinemocha When I was *in* college, Wilmot was still at the far east end of town - aren't we contemporaries though?

Flattery about my age gets you nowhere, @jared_w_smith. I celebrate 48 years this month, and damned proud of it too!

Taking advantage of Tucson's notoriety today: It's spelled TUCSON, not TUSCON. The airport is TUS which might be part of the confusion.
Special vigil and honoring of victims in today's shooting at the Rialto Theatre tonight. http://fb.me/zj6Vc7PN
A toast: Do not let the ills of today be harbingers of tomorrow. Let us learn to fix our turbulent society. Let us make a better world.

@alexisbellido Thank you Alexis. It is very sad.
@BLG me too re: Sierra Nevada. Other go-to's (from the US) are Sam Adams and Fat Tire. And a cold Corona and lime has its place, too.

@Inferis @iworx Particularly hand-crafted and local brews. We excel at it, actually. This is not to say we don't have a lot of crap beer.
@iworx hahaha - good beer and bad politics? Sounds too familiar ;)

@the_melvinator wow, glad you're ok! I like that Safeway - it's a really nice one. Guess I will be avoiding it from now on, just too sad.

@matt_munsey I'm flexible as I'm WFH these days. Call or txt when you have an opening.
You know, there's something very comforting in a bottle of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. A consistently decent beer. SwitchingGearsMols
