@azlee The Web? Early conversations started around 84 or so? Actual implementations began to appear by 91, and by 93 it had reached desktops

We come to the web devdesign field with great passion but little education. History isn't a core value. I would like to change that.

Awesome! @GuiAmbros is talking about the OSI model layer 7. However, point of clarity: NNTP, telnet, ftp, gopher, are TCP/IP protocols.
I should just probably write a book about all of this. But would people read it? Maybe with a title "The Web is all About Free love, Baby" ?
