@moon That's because you're not in Newark ;) New Jersey can indeed be stunningly beautiful. Delaware Water Gap area for instance, etc.
@dalesmcd Ah, DOCTYPE switching. Necessary at the time. It's necessary for IE browsers to perform well now. It does complicate matters.
@sharovatov I was presenting a 3 day course which included working cross browsers. That was what the IE8 slide was in there for.

Hey, I don't take crits like that too seriously. People are entitled to their opinions, and I'm still going to teach barefoot & in jeans. :)

Feedback from an attendee at a workshop: "would have liked Molly's self presentation to be more presentable" - I was teaching barefoot. Haha

@sharovatov @ie so maybe the better term is "customized" - the idea of a browser "optimized" for a given site is a frightening thought.
