@Cuisinegirl you shlep your cooking? Shlep is to carry/drag around. Yiddish is very non-literal.
@AvidElyse even through my stuffy head I can smell the steaks the neighbors are grilling. I'm definitely carnivorous and enjoy red meat.
@Cuisinegirl drek is Yiddish (from the German) for "excrement" it is also used to mean "rubbish". So which ever translation best applies.
