In the @wasp meeting at #sxswi getting misty yet again seeing WaSP kick ass. And they doubted. HA!
Replying to @dstorey
@dstorey the tests I saw stats on yesterday included Microsoft/W3C; Eric Meyer; Hixie; Hixie "Evil" I should have that slide from MS soon
Replying to @KuraFire
@KuraFire @snedders @dstorey Points not in context of whose browser is better. Context is the relationship of implementation/specification.
Replying to @dstorey
@dstorey no voice, but in terms of every current existing tests, IE8 RC1 is outperforming us in CSS 2.1.
Replying to @glazou
@glazou Yessiree. Hey, we stumped Hakon on attribute selector pattern matching in trivia. Who came up with pattern matching?
@waspinteract You're beautiful and I love you!
getting weepy as WaSP introduces Interact to the world. "Conneting Education and Industry" http://interact.webstandards.org/

@ppk Under W3C, we need implementations to move forward with finalizing specs. As such, they both require each other.
Replying to @ppk
@ppk I agree with point 2. In terms of W3C, it's not just them. It's implementers. IE8 looks like it will be the first CSS 2.1 complete.
Replying to @ppk
@ppk I'm not sure that we "need" that, it's just a fact. If something isn't implemented, doesn't matter if it's in a spec, it isn't used.
Replying to @luxuryluke
@luxuryluke you too my dear :) And thanks for updating my collection of LL branding!
Replying to @teleject
@teleject Yes, again, neither is CSS 2.1. And yet, we use it. Implementation trumps specification. Full stop.

Replying to @gotoplanb
@gotoplanb Very true, which is a challenge indeed. We are hybrids, but education doesn't support that in current methods. #sxswed
what ultimately gets used is what is implemented, not necessarily what is in a spec, finished or not. CSS 2.1? unfinished. How many use it?

@teleject I believe we have to be very careful with the HTML5 "won't be done" conversation. It is confusing people terribly.
What about problems in education such as educators who are not educated? How can this be addressed effectively? #sxswed
Replying to @teleject
@teleject years to be complete (ya know, like CSS 2.1?). HTML 5 is already being implemented in browsers. Carts and horses! #sxswi #sxswed
Replying to @notasausage
@notasausage Where the heck are you? Maybe you're not wicked enough. Make sure I get to see you, k?
In "No Web Professional Left Behind Panel" go WaSP EDU! Grandma WaSP here is so very very proud of you all #sxswed #sxswi
I should be getting slides set up today sometime for everyone, especially folks not able to get into the CSS3 session #sxswi
