I would define "cloud" computing as hype. If we're talking data sets across services, that's the tech we are working with every day anyway.
@JHVanOphem no one. The general thought is that it is either data across sources (um, the Internet?); or wifi access at large.
Well, I asked for a one sentence definition of "cloud" computing and I got about 40 one sentence answers - all different definitions!
Can someone please give me a one sentence definition of the "cloud" in today's social computing. ONE sentence, please and thank you.

hmmph. If what the W3C really needs is bandwidth, it shouldn't be that difficult. Has it really become: if own bandwidth / then own web ?
