@ryancarson Three whole days? The longest I've been sans computer since 1993 was 9 days. I had 6,000 emails on return. That part sucked.

@ClaireLeah spoken like the good lawyer you are. Any thoughts yet on the RIAA's approach with ISPs?
Strange day for SO many. Travel, weather-wise, rhythm of life-wise. My horror-scope tells me "resistance is futile" Wise geek advice for all

@bazil749 Baz, here's a list of what he's fixed/supported in the v2 ie7/ie8 scripts: http://tinyurl.com/2hj4l4
Replying to @kevinlloyd749
@bazil749 Those scripts were built to repair bugs and implement HTML and CSS that didn't exist in IE 6.0. Proper DOCTYPE will fix that in 6.

@bazil749 It's an especially good time to try 'em out. They're so compact now and goodness who isn't using SOME kind of .js these days?

@WoogyChuck His work needs more evangelizing - he doesn't do it. It's brilliant, considering he wrote v1 before IE7 was even gonna exist!
BrowserTip: Yes IE6 remains a pain, but please now consider the newly updated IE Scripts from Dean Edwards http://code.google.com/p/ie7-js/

@claireleah Twitter is literally a multi-modal communication technology. But the heartfelt, long personal talks are for other places indeed.
@snosnap I'm a contractor, never been an employee @MS. I was contracting for MSN in the early/mid 90s, then MS last year during IE6>7>8.
And that, really, is a sociological/business problem in a rapidly changing, evolutionary environment. New business models must emerge.
@maymaym but from my observation, there is a lot of old skool, MBA and fearful thinking in between those visionary factions.
@maymaym I loved my recent year and a half at MS because of the vision at the very top and the sheer genius in the trenches.
@maymaym Might want to ask the IE team where on the priority list SVG support is right now. Many more thoughts on this for a real blog post.

@randymatheson Latkes w/ sour cream. Applesauce nom, sour cream more nom.Latkes this week. Such a simple dish, oh so good if made properly.
@tom_steelcoast Yikes! I grew up in NJ and knew at a pretty young age that real winter weather was not something I wanted to live with!
@tedgrafx good tip, but no fans up there, alas. Place was built in 84 - great layout, crap construction/insulation.
I feel like a bad citizen as I just cranked the central gas heating & have these very high cathedral ceilings. A rare need, thank goodness.
