Replying to @nkennedy
@nkennedy When I left the Web Standards Project part of the reason was exactly because I felt it time to stop preaching to the converted.

@ikeif I don't understand the context of your question re: education for web designers/developers.
to be fair, the entries for illustration were very average, and photography less so, but not as impressive as some of the other media.
the show covered a wide variety of media. I ended up picking a TV commercial as my judge's pick. Not one judge's pick included web.

@gnat at least I wrote judge and not president!
wshew. That was grueling, but we are done with judging. Unfortunately, there was not one web site that I feel good about for my judge's pick
@ChunLum re long road. Believe me, I know :D. I've been doing this for more than ten years now (standards) and I'm frustrated beyond belief
and people wonder why I keep saying there's no such thing as web standards.
I think the issue is that most of these submissions are from ad agencies that do a lot of print and branding and just go right to Flash.
ugh. Almost all the web site entries were pure Flash, old presentational HTML. Only one, ONE showed some best practice savvy. Sigh.

judging, judging, judging. Day two, coverting digital media, web and illustration.
why it's fun to judge art shows: You're wined, dined and get to criticize.
Houston, we have landed.

@sheldoncooper I'm in your home town, Dr. Cooper. Anyone I should say hi to?
Replying to @wolowizard
@wolowizard Your mother sounds very much like my aunts from Long Island. Re: sinning, unless Mrs. Wolowitz reads my blog, I can fake it.

@MarkYturralde Oh I know! I do find it funny however that our @sheldoncooper is the most prolific of all the Big Bang Theory Twitterers.
@yvonneadams Maybe I *am* fictitious!
Great, I'm getting hit on by a fictitious character based on a fictitious character. Talk about degrees of separation . . . from reality.
