and it's actually from No Starch Press, distributed by O'Reilly. I weep, I weep. No Starch usually has world-class books for technologists.

Here's the "Geek Goddess" press release: http://tinyurl.com/6hzxrf see what you think.
It's supposed to NOT be patronizing: http://oreilly.com/catalog/9781593271879/ but that press release reads like a friggin cosmo ad.
and here I honestly got excited seeing a title from O'Reilly that I thought might actually have something to do with women as technologists.
"women use technology to get things done as they struggle to work, shop, email, raise children, and host perfect dinner parties" : thud :
When I think of the term Geek Goddess and the publisher O'Reilly, I find this to be a rather sexist and juvenile Woman's Day/Cosmo approach.
a little disturbed at a book's description. "How to be a Geek Goddess" from O'Reilly. Chapter four: Shopping!

I should probably be sent to pun prison for that last one. No pardons for me.
"Publish your writing and get paid." What a novel idea!

@sheldoncooper The other night we got to see that Penny uses IE7. Predictable. But YOU? I expected you to be an Opera fanbois for sure.

@glazou Are you suggesting I'm guilty of the sin of gluttony?
wondering why we're told as teens our acne will go away when here I am in my 40s with a big ol' pimple on my face. I call foul!

@glazou IOW: A jug of wine, a basket of fries and thou beside me?
@youngApprentice Wow that sounds good. @meriwilliams served me Rooibos tea a few years ago, now it's getting popular in the US. TeaHeadMols
