@davidfrey : Ouch, that's not a happy story. What I find funny here is a trendy hotel is a mess, but there's working wifi at Ayer's Rock.
@griffmiester: it's the hotel. Last night I couldn't even get the wifi in my room, & I rewired the place just to get things working.
why am I always awake before dawn? Always, no matter the time zone. You could (almost) set a world clock by me. Maybe I'm magnetic?
I just passed 1 German, 1 Dutchman & 3 English Roses sitting drinking, etc. IN THE BUS LANE. Even I know when to step back, goodness me.
@mate : I talk like a new yorker who went to arizona then to the UK then here. I'm a verbal mutt & even say "toilet" w/out blushing now :)

@raena : just got in now, no delays. However, there was a condensation prob on the plane and about three of us got doused w/ freezing water!

Made it to Melbourne. Anyone around? Wowsers this is a totally different scene (St. Kilda) than Perth or Cairns or Sydney.
(okay, I'm really flying to Victoria. Tara Hunt gave me an extra pair of wings for my birthday last week :) )

@thehodge: I thought that was part of life on mars' brilliance. It was absolutely far fetched, often silly & I loved every minute of it.

@boagworld : The aroma of cooked garlic is fine. What I don't like is when I can't get the scent of raw garlic off my skin after chopping.
