Regarding ISO HTML - Chris Wilson likely knows the issues better than I (and anyone else pipe up) as to why it has never evolved/been used.
@nickobec : ISO HTML is a "true" standard. It's not what we build or author to, we'd never manage x-browser issues if we did. Oh, the irony.
