When I said “East Palestine” some people thought I meant Palestine in the Middle East. I changed it to name the state.

You’re right about fentanyl. By decriminalizing and regulating drugs in general, it will actually free us in terms of bandwidth and resources to go after fentanyl - the one drug that is indeed a public enemy number one.

We should treat drugs not as a criminal issue but as a health issue (such as in nations like Portugal.) For a fraction of the $100 billion we spend a year on the War on Drugs, we could pay for a world-class network of recovery options that actually help people get sober. 3/4

In the 1970s there were 300,000 people in US prisons; today there are 2.3 million. Almost half of all federal prisoners are nonviolent drug offenders. 2/4

It’s time to end America’s War on Drugs. Initiated in 1971, we have spent $1 trillion and it has only exacerbated the problem. 1/4

East Palestine, Ohio? Flint, Michigan? Jackson, Mississippi?
Places across America that were once left behind are coming back. It's the folks that I meet in our cities and towns that are a big reason why I’ve never been more optimistic about our nation’s future.

Massive tax cuts for the richest individuals and corporations among us. Multi billion dollar corporate subsidies for huge companies already making billions in profit. THAT is the “free stuff” we give away that should infuriate everyone. Why should YOUR tax dollars not go to things that serve YOU?

For 50 years we've been waging a war on the middle class and the poor in America, transferring fifty trillion dollars from the bottom 90 per cent of Americans to the top 1 per cent. Trump says "Let's beef up the war but pretend we're not." Biden says "Let's try to make it easier for people to endure the war." I say "Let's stop the war."

The majority of Republicans as well as Democrats want universal health care; the majority of Republicans as well as Democrats want tuition free college and tech school. A progressive economic agenda IS the way to win in 2024. Biden's message to 80 per cent of Americans that we're-kinda-sorta-gonna-do-it-I- know-you-don't-really-feel-it-but-you'll feel it in ten years is not the win.

Your holistically progressive agenda is the way to win the electoral college! Let them know, momma! Let them know! Period! #Marianne2024 #DisruptTheCorrupt
