I would like him to work with an international consortium that works together to broker this. There was supposed to be a meeting with Arab countries on his trip but that meeting was canceled – I assume because of the bombings. America should support a ceasefire - then work with Arab countries as much as with Israel to create a path forward.

Childcare at this point costs on average between $10,000 and $15,000 a year.
So in the richest country in the world, the average family cannot live on only one salary, allowing one parent to stay home - yet child care costs are prohibitive.
This is why we need an economic Bill of Rights providing subsidized childcare.
We waste billions of dollars feeding the coffers of corporate greed, and do almost nothing to help parents and small children.

It is now a multi-polar world. China already HAS influence on the world stage and if they are the ones who have a better idea right now, then so be it. All the United States is offering at this point is support for the use of brute force in doing what brute force of itself cannot do. We have to do everything possible to find a better way.

Israel invading Gaza will only increase the horror for both peoples. The world - including the U.S. - is being faced with the limits to the power of brute force.
My hope is that some country or group of countries is stepping in right now and trying to broker a better way.
That is what the world should do. And that is what I would do.
