With the current administration approving the Willow project, making a deal that allows for the Mountain Valley Pipeline and allowing more oil drilling than even Trump did, given your views perhaps we should start arguing for a more environmentally conscious candidate in 2024.

A critical mass of citizens on both Left and Right are now realizing what has gone on here. For the last forty years the American people have been played. My newest substack: THE GIANT IS AWAKENING open.substack.com/pub/marian…

Marianne Williamson retweeted
Democratic presidential nominee and self-help author Marianne Williamson has promised Australians she would drop all charges against Julian Assange on her first day as US president should she be elected in 2024. @johnbuckley_ reports: crikey.com.au/2023/06/08/mar…

There are three categories of response to the times in which we live. 1/ Don’t change anything because everything is basically OK and anything that has to be fixed will fix itself. (What iceberg?) 2/ Make incremental changes here and there and hope for the best. (We’ll still hit the iceberg but a little bit later and at a slightly different angle) 3/ Recognize we’re headed straight for the iceberg and turn around right now. (A wise, responsible, conscious economic u-turn)

This is what happens when corporations rule the world. When profit maximization is the bottom line, ethics go out the window…concern for human and planetary well-being goes out the window. The era of insane deregulation must end. The era of agency capture by corporate forces must end. The era of corporate tyranny must end.
🚨NEW DOCUMENTS: Chemical companies knew the human health dangers of their products in nonstick pans, waterproof clothes & other retail goods - but hid those facts from the public as the cancer-causing toxins became ubiquitous in the water, air, and soil. levernews.com/forever-chemic…

My question too.
When is the CNN townhall for Marianne Williamson and Cornell West?

In my administration we wouldn’t celebrate Juneteenth with a performative distraction technique. We would celebrate it with serious efforts at police reform, the dismantling of the prison industrial complex, protection of voting rights, and negotiations for reparations.

It's extraordinary and extraordinarily dangerous. We need an American president who will declare a climate emergency, putting us on a path of mass mobilization for a just transition from a dirty to a clean economy. Not later. NOW.
At our @UN Headquarters in New York, we can feel the deteriorating air quality as smoke from the wildfires in Canada moves south. With global temperatures on the rise, the need to urgently reduce wildfire risk is critical. We must make peace with nature. We cannot give up.

I'm in London because my daughter had a baby, but when I get back to the States at the beginning of July I'll be all over the country. Re people voting for Dems, I understand the quandary. Some feel moved to stay in the party and seek to reclaim its soul, some feel moved to vote third party. Each to their own.
