All in the name of fiscal responsibility, no less.
Who does the GOP work for? Let me put it this way: Their debt ceiling plan extends tax cuts for the rich while jeopardizing the healthcare of 21 million Americans, cutting Meals on Wheels for seniors, and making the largest cuts to veterans benefits in U.S. history.

BREAKING: Georgia police are again jailing climate activists without trial for fighting the misguided "Cop City" training complex. Three people face 20-yr prison terms for distributing flyers as state officials try to criminalize advocacy. This is Mob-style intimidation.

This is nothing they should be bragging about. The U.S. should not be diminishing our commitment to the principle of asylum. The biggest crisis at the border is the humanitarian crisis for thousands of people now fleeing some of the worst violence imaginable. And much of that violence has been exacerbated by U.S. foreign policy in Latin America over the last 50 years.

She is correct.
New Yorkers are ready to employ and asylum seekers are ready to work. The idea that denying work authorization is an effective deterrent and therefore we shouldn’t let people work is wrong. It keeps people crammed in the system & hurts migrants & citizens alike. Let them work.

Today's newsletter is about how Wall Street has ruined Hollywood, and why the writers strike is the first real attempt to stop the downward spiral of the industry. I would link to it, but Twitter throttles tweets that mention my newsletter.

.@andersoncooper keeps justifying CNN’s Town Hall with Donald Trump by saying how important it is that we hear all voices. Shouldn’t that mean that my CNN Town Hall is next?
