There’s another option. #marianne2024
Not voting for Biden or staying home because you don’t approve of the U.S. response to the Israel-Hamas war just shows you are putting your own moral superiority over the human rights of the rest of us. It’s selfish.

Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan were very good friends.

A majority of Republicans as well as Democrats wants universal healthcare. A majority of Republicans as well as Democrats wants tuition free college and tech school. Yet the candidate who says “Then don’t we have those things?” is violating a cardinal rule of DC politics: never go so far as to upset the corporate donor class because they’ll come after you in the next election. We need a President who isn’t part of that system and has no problem saying “Let them come.”

A government that maintains and perpetuates that inequity has a lot of nerve calling itself “qualified.” Qualified to drive a car means nothing if in the final analysis you’re on the wrong road. 6/6

Over the last 50 years we have sucked $50 trillion from the bottom 90% of Americans, creating an obscenely bloated fraternity of billionaires for whom the US treasury is a gilded piggy bank and leaving millions of people struggling on a daily basis to simply make it at all. 5/6

In the 1970s the average worker could afford a car, a house, a yearly vacation, and to send their kids to college. One salary could sustain a family of four. 4/6

We end up thinking we have a lot of different problems - environmental, food supply, education, poverty, mental health, violence, criminal justice reform, health care and more - when there is one core malfeasance that connects them all: a fundamental lack of economic justice that infuses our operating system. 3/6

Establishment politicians, often stuck in 20th C mindset, don’t want to look at root causes of our problems because of how often their policies ARE the root causes. 2/6

The main difference between politics of the 21st-century and politics of the 20th is a willingness to address root causes rather than just symptoms. 1/6

The exploitation of graduate student workers has always seemed particularly egregious to me. Universities all over the country are beginning to see the writing on the wall: that era needs to end.
Less than 36 hours before the strike deadline, Graduate Student Workers have a Tentative Agreement on a first contract!!! 🧵

Exactly! Which is why I am running, and why I would win. #Marianne2024
There is absolutely nothing stopping the Democratic Party and the President from putting forth policies that would be extremely popular with a majority of the public and guarantee keeping Trump and "authoritarianism" out of power. The reality is that they simply choose not to.

Millions of people are forced to live in the shadows by our immigration policies. They should not be “illegal.”
