Having written fifteen books I'm pretty clear how to sell books, and a presidential campaign is not it. You do a book tour, not a campaign tour, to sell books. In fact, in the field of books I'm known for the way to sell them is to NEVER mention politics.
The "book tour" narrative was created by one disgruntled ex-employee of the campaign who does not know me and, I assure you, knows nothing about publishing books.
As far as the legitimacy of my campaign is concerned, your opinion is not shared by the thousands of people who have come to my talks and are giving me standing ovations around the country. Money and media support do not in my mind - or in theirs - determine the legitimacy of a campaign.
