I was always moved by the NFL players kneeling, because men who had attained great success within the system were saying that had not been bought off, that they remembered those underserved & disserved. What’s happened to us that we’re so afraid of healthy disagreement & protest?

System? That’s part of the problem. There is no system. If so. What about baseball, hockey nascar nba soccer? No protests

We disrespect those who believed they were fighting for freedom by refusing to defend democratic principles and institutions here at home. Corporations can fire you if they don't like what they see on your Facebook page. As if they own you.

NFL players could simply decide not to be owned.

They want to gut social security, end medicare, decimate health care safeguards against unsustainable rising costs, ensure that housings becomes unaffordable for minimum wage workers, to given tax breaks to the 1 percent.

These policies could never stand on their own merit, since they will hurt his base big time. Too cowardly to hold a press conference to be held accountable. So they continue to disrespect their own base by assuming that tossing out rancid "red meat " will buy votes.

The dangerous rhetoric about deporting people who kneel is deliberate white supremacist code and incitement to activate "sleeper" hate cells. They're asking their base to commit economic and lack of affordable health care suicide by voting for them.

They were not stopping the game. They were not disturbing the game whatsoever. The national anthem is a civic action beforehand. I thought there was something beautiful about the fact that some chose to stand, some chose to kneel, but we were all there together. Very AMERICAN.
