I know it's a cheap question, but if one man had the plans to kill thousands of Americans, or lets pick people you might care about, say illegal aliens. And he wouldn't budge, but you knew you could break him if you got dirty. Would you A) not and let innocents die. or B) do it?

There is no evidence whatsoever that torture works. Torture makes someone tell you whatever it is they think you want to hear that will stop the torture. There are far more effective ways of getting information.
