Watching Gina Haspel at her Cong hearing reminded me of watching Kate Winslet’s character in the movie “The Reader.” Good people can be lured into thinking that making a business run well is more important than upholding one’s conscience. Issues of public morality are so crucial

I am very torn on this ... if her experience has brought her to be committed it will never happen again .... I would support her ... judging her for following orders gets real grey for me ... I know in my life where I have fallen has brought me to be able to shine later

Michael Sandel talks about this in his book "The moral limits of markets: what money can't buy". He rights points out that the corporatisation of everything has resulted in devaluing what is really important in civilised society. Highly recommended read.

When our personal morale barometer is neutralized by public or political influence, integrity with humantarian values often disappear and this makes it easy to commit atrocities against fellow human beings. That they are thinking of appointing her, shows the US morales are lost.
