I like what Will Smith said. I will be in charge of my happiness, and you be in charge of your happiness. Then we can come together and see what wonderful thing we can create together.

This needs to be matched with a knowing that we can’t ‘make’ the other person happy. It is a fine line between “real love” and “co-dependency”. We have to know that we can be happy even if the other person or situation isn’t.

I believe that you shouldn't be People pleaser. Love emanating from the innermost Souls and being a wonderful philanthropic person. To Love thyself means Loving others.
