Interesting: when a man feels ganged up on he calls it a “Witch Hunt” because there’s no correlative experience in the lives of men. Even “bastard” and “son of a bitch” refer to a woman’s perceived guilt, not the man’s. Just something to recognize in order to dispel.

It has been a man's world, men coined the terms and I think they have been doing a good job. Now let women take over and coin their own, something like 'child of erectile dysfunction', perhaps.

Just like there is no corresponding equivalent for the word 'emasculation' for women because the system was never set up to uphold the dignity of the feminine.

I have enjoyed tweets however when the phrase has been ‘owned’ in reference to sexual harassment rebuttals ( like Trumps.!) ie: “Yeah, the Witches are hunting!”

Very good point. We should work on the language we use. My mind is set on finding alternatives that don't demoralize women.

Can ever recall a story where witches hunted anyone.

The insidious ways women are oppressed never seem to end.

Many men, unfortunately, feel they are superior and for years subjected women to uncontianable acts of harassment, discrimination and suppression. I am an avid supporter of the woman's movement and look forward to their increased presence in our government.
