The most important move we could make now would be for women to find the courage to say “First we’re going to take care of the children” and really mean it. That shift, more than any other, would transform the world.

Whoever is the most nurturing parent!

That is, unless you find yourself caught in a rerun of The Sopranos. Then the phrase "take care of the children" takes on a whole new meaning.

I guess you mean to say that women should say no if they are forced to do anything else than taking care of children. Neither for meeting their needs nor for their dignity...Right?

Agreed! Good luck... Men should chip in first is all you’ll get.

First, we are going to take care of ourselves...Too many of us have spent a lifetime taking care of children, husbands, parents, homes and careers sacrificing our own needs and putting off God’s calling in our hearts until the dishes are done, the baby’s asleep, etc.

Does that mean unborn children too? Probably not. They're just an inconvenience, right?

It can't be just women's responsibility. Men must care for children. Men must truly care for women. Men must learn to love themselves as well.

Your interpretation of God’s word? Holy crap! What if Man & Woman chose head of home, loved & communicated w/ each other 1st? What if they thought, planned & coordinated strategically care & raising children? Love isn’t coddling. It’s teaching, training, coaching. Mature by 18.
