The most important move we could make now would be for women to find the courage to say “First we’re going to take care of the children” and really mean it. That shift, more than any other, would transform the world.

How about we simply follow the Bible...which speaks to PARENTS....fathers too, men and women... not just women!!

How about calling on SOCIETY to put children first by creating affordable daycare, paid mat leave, quality education, universal healthcare and gun control before calling on women to return to the kitchen, hm?

I’m not sure if I understand why the emphasis was put on women in this statement.

I think the move is for women to insist that children thrive. We need to break out of the “I’ll take care of my own you take care of yours” is a problem. Too many falling thru the cracks as society fragments under the weight ambivalence.

I love and respect you but it is so hard lately to do the same with your tweets. Indigenous women all around the world have been doing this since the beginning of humanity and Haudenosaunee people are ONE example of many NATIONS arranging their entire cultures around this idea.

You have a tremendous platform and instead of "discovering" and reinventing the wheel (as I, an Indigenous woman see it) I kindly ask you to please highlight/boost women who are already doing what you call for; women who have been silenced still have wisdom to share.

The fathers should, too!

It’s hard because then your husbands feel neglected! Lol! Babies....

In my experience women who primarily do this. It’s the men who need to step it up!
