For many women entering substance abuse recovery, it is the very real risk of losing their children that drives them into recovery. If they really love them, they begin to figure out how to get their lives cleaned up so they can care for their children.

Women (read mothers) take care of children in any case; it is men who need to be made more involved.

#UniversalHealthCare and #UniversalBasicIncome would transform the world. Then maybe our kids wouldn't have to be home alone or at aftercare everyday after school while mothers are at work. Or weekends while we're at our second jobs. We haven't much time to spend.
