Mass shootings, while always shocking, are not even a surprise anymore. Given gratuitous violence in TV and movies, violence in video games, obscenely lax gun safety laws and a culture of things over people, they are an inevitable result of a society that needs to reclaim it soul

Reclaim its soul? Did it ever have a soul to start with?

1) The incongruence of USA’s economic policies with legislative policies won’t allow for such reclamations of the soul. The culture is irrelevant when money comes into play;

Point made. Soulless society leads to inevitable mass shootings. Root cause? TV, video game, movie violence & lax gun laws. Blah. Blah. How about mixed msgs? • A race using N-word forbidden to all? • Showing every TV/Movie/Ad family as mixed race or gay. Gun laws only infringe.

Violent movies and games as one of the excuses for violence is pure lunacy, generally people do not pick up a gun because they have played assassins creed that day, it’s more to do a mental health crisis without treatment and a distorted view of reality causing immense tragedy

It's not tv, movies, or video games. It's people (especially young people) not knowing the value of a life. Due to parents not teaching their kids. Our ineffective school system isn't any help either.
