Mass shootings, while always shocking, are not even a surprise anymore. Given gratuitous violence in TV and movies, violence in video games, obscenely lax gun safety laws and a culture of things over people, they are an inevitable result of a society that needs to reclaim it soul

Societies' values are mirrored in what they allow. Do we value sanctity of life, or th sanctity of weapons designed to end lives? Perhaps in 1700s, as a new Independence formed, it WAS imperative for all to have muskets at the ready -- it's 2018 now. Do we value our own, or?

Right now, our country is in excruciating pain caused by military-grade weapons in the hands of civilians. To obfuscate this point in 2018 by talking about video games is misleading. We have all collectively moved past that outdated thought and are focusing on gun legislation.

I am surprised that there are not more shootings/stabbing. What with #mental health not being addressed, plus self medicating on #recreational & prescription #drugs, #alcohol to escape and #numb the #pain. Anger is an #emotion -how we chose to deal with it causes problems.
