All hands on deck. Let's not be the first generation of Americans to wimp out on doing what it takes to self-correct this nation when it's gone off the rails. It's not FDR's job or John's or Martin's or Bobby's; it's our turn now. (And cynicism is just an excuse for not helping)

1) Get involved in midterms. 2) Read the news. 3) Participate in organizations working on getting $ out of politics (movetoamend.org etc). 4) Help fight voter suppression (Ari Berman good on that). 5) Support the ACLU. 6) MEDITATE. 7) Whatever else your heart says to do.

@NancyLeeGrahn Off the rails how? Roaring economy, defense back on track, excellent GDP, historically low unemployment. Remember FDR failed at domestic policy. JFK caused the Cuban Missile Crisis. If that is stepping up, please step back....take a vacation....

I think the problem MIGHT be the leaders you mentioned are looong gone. What we need to emulate are people with the potential to lead us NOW!
