The issue isn't just DACA or wall or govt shutdown or any other specific, but rather the issue underlying them: an attack on the core values of open-heartedness & open-mindedness that America has at least tried to adhere to. If we surrender those values, we will have lost it all.

It is interesting that each side of an issue believe they are the ones who are open-minded and open-hearted. Every person has confirmation bias. An open-minded person is willing to consider I may be wrong and the other side may be right.

I agree with that. No one has a monopoly on the truth

Would you be willing to agree that it was unconstitutional for President Obama to use executive order for DACA?Congress had voted against a dreamer legislation. The ex-order was dictatorial. 45 undoing it and sending to congress is democratic and constitutional.

No, I will not. Executive orders are not unconstitutional.

Immigration regs are through the Congress. 44 signed ex order even stating he did not have power. For good or bad it is a congressional matter, not the executive. 44 was imposing his will over the will of the people. 45 sent it back to Congress as it should be.

There’s nothing in the Constitution about who regulates immigration. Obama did it because Congress was not moving on the issue, nor are they moving on it now. All Trump had to do was to extend the order. Trump did more by executive order in 200 days than Obama averaged in a year.
