The issue isn't just DACA or wall or govt shutdown or any other specific, but rather the issue underlying them: an attack on the core values of open-heartedness & open-mindedness that America has at least tried to adhere to. If we surrender those values, we will have lost it all.

The system doesn’t need an upgrade so much as the system needs to be adhered to. The problem is not that it needs an upgrade but that we have allowed it to be downgraded. First order of business: the midterms in 2018

You say the system needs to be adhered to? How about beginning with adhering to current immigration laws and remove those here illegally?
