The issue isn't just DACA or wall or govt shutdown or any other specific, but rather the issue underlying them: an attack on the core values of open-heartedness & open-mindedness that America has at least tried to adhere to. If we surrender those values, we will have lost it all.

If dreamers are so smart why didn’t they do it for however many years they were in the country. I will tell you why it’s because they don’t want the free ride to end. If you want them the. I want the same perks they get. Free education and healthcare. Lots of gov money.

America has always been open to the orderly entry of political refugees and to legal immigrants, but there's never been a "right" to emigrate here. That's not compassion, that's the end of the American experiment. And our values are just fine.
