Thank you for saying this, it’s important. We are getting swept under the rug both by doctors and by the “legalize” movement. People tend to forget those of us who suffer from such intractable pain that pain medication is the only thing that helps.

Please stop blaming all prescribed #opioids for this situation. We have an #OverdoseCrisis in large part b/c of bad policy & legislation that has been influenced by organizations like #PROP. Now we're hearing of #CancerPatients being refused #opioids, among others! Unacceptable!

Biological dependence and addiction are two entirely different processes. Just because one needs to wean from a drug after being on stable dose does not =addiction. Wean from lots others, like prednisone. Are there then "prednisone addicts?" Rx topped 2010 yet crisis increases

Education regarding use of opioids is needed, not restrictions. I nearly overdosed when pharmacy ⚕ filled a fentanyl patch without telling me generics are different. After being successfully treated for chronic pain a different patch from my last almost killed me. #pain #opioid
