A systemic problem that has allowed this type of thing to happen is that there is poor ecology education so even journalists and their audiences don't comprehend the gravity of these decisions and how destructive they are for our planet. So env. reporting is not tenacious enough.

With Nature clearly revolting already in freezing or violent storms what do we expect to see when these rigs get shredded; spills and damage beyond our food and wildlife but sickness/contamination at a once picturesque beach front
