If the federal government wanted to get food, water, and electricity to people in Puerto Rico who need it immediately, they would get food, water and electricity to people in Puerto Rico who need it immediately.

Ok, everyone on this thread: please google PROMESA, Puerto Rico IRS Section 936, and PREPA. After that, go to the American Enterprise Institute and listen to the panel on Puerto Rico. It's honestly infuriating most seem to have no clue what they are talking about. Thanks.

You realize that's a conservative think tank, right?

So for that I understand that in your perfect world there is no room for conservative thought? Hence I may infer that liberal thought is infalible? What about the concepts of relativism and skepticism, are those out too?

Yeah, unfortunately it's pretty much the same story with most issues. This is just one I happen to know a hell of a lot about 😕 It should be clear by my posts, but the need to point out my reference to a conservative think tank? 🙄

I'm simply pointing out that their perspective on the situation would be one that supports the administration's policy.

No, that's wrong. The panel was discussing PR's fiscal and structural issues. PROMESA was passed by Former President Obama in June 2016. Paving the way for "Bankrupty-like" proceedings in Federal Court. PR is not protected by U.S. Bankruptcy law. The panel recognized that.

The problem with your statement is that you come across as opinionated and condescending.
