The effort at authoritarian takeover of US democracy, wherever it's coming from, isn't counting on the uprising that is going to meet it in the midterms '18. We're gonna meet it, defeat it and learn from it. It took us a while, but we're awake now.

There are both liberals (most Dems) and conservatives (Frum, Painter, Schmidt) speaking out against the authoritarian threat.

Um. Even Elizabeth Warren voted for NDAA giving Trump an increased check for war (despite the useless twitter sparring) & the B. Sanders “Our Revolution” conference didn’t even mention war. David Frum?

What is your definition of non- authoritarian? I can only think of maybe 3 non-authoritarian republicans and I have not been made aware of any dems who are concerned with individual rights, the ones I’m familiar with are collectivists. Jim Webb was close...
