The effort at authoritarian takeover of US democracy, wherever it's coming from, isn't counting on the uprising that is going to meet it in the midterms '18. We're gonna meet it, defeat it and learn from it. It took us a while, but we're awake now.

If Dems focus on Russian rather than policies that improve lives (free health care & college tuition) they will come up short.

If you Progressives continue on your current path of ever-increasing hysterical outrage, you will end up in a catatonic state, blindly following the misguided voice you hear at a Marianne Williamson lecture. Save yourself— don’t listen to her.

Who is the non-authoritarian party or candidates?

There are both liberals (most Dems) and conservatives (Frum, Painter, Schmidt) speaking out against the authoritarian threat.

Beautiful thought, but it will take the Democratic Party to really face themselves and their dysfunction if you are truly going to attract the following and action needed to get the US back on the rails. The current situation suggests this won’t happen.
