It's immoral to refuse to feed a hungry child. It's immoral to withhold from people basic tools they need in order to better themselves. It's immoral to give to the rich at the expense of the poor. Some things are not morally relative; they're simply the wrong thing to do.

It is immoral for people to have children who do not have the means to provide for them. It is immoral for people who will not work to provide the basic things they need. I am not against helping others in need. I am against taking care of them forever!

Leonardo da Vinci's mother had no way to take care of him. And the vast majority of people on government assistance do not wish to be there. The demonization of the poor is a right wing strategy intended to justify robbing them.

You are SO far removed from reality of abuse of gov’t assistance!!

I don't deny there's abuse of government assistance, but the vast majority of that abuse is on the part of huge multi-national corporations, banks, and the top 001 per cent. This tax bill is a perfect example .

1/ None of those entities are the problem in local settings.... I live in small town...the welfare abuse has nothg to do w/those thgs and everythg to do with people working the system....I worked in it for 30 yrs, saw it everyday. Ppl sell & trade their food stamp cards
2/for cash to buy drugs, they are receiving disability checks for high blood pres, ADHD, and alcoholism; kids can received disability for ADHD, so ppl are fostering kids to get them on disabilty and making $5-6000/mo off those chks....it’s crazy.

3/Top 1% are ppl who at least work — In my opinion a focus on them supporting programs and services to help the needy is better than berating them for their wealth. I respect hard workers more than those who abuse & work the system to not have to work.
