It's immoral to refuse to feed a hungry child. It's immoral to withhold from people basic tools they need in order to better themselves. It's immoral to give to the rich at the expense of the poor. Some things are not morally relative; they're simply the wrong thing to do.

It’s immoral to expect the gov’t to do what WE the church should be doing!! Next time you feed a hungry child...like I & many others do thru weekly Backpack food program, please let us know!! Next time you visit the widows, please say-Best I can tell you think Gov’t should do all

I ran a church for six years. The idea that the churches of America can take up the slack after the government stole billions - now trillions - from the public treasury just to put it in the hands of our richest citizens, is ludicrous.

Then you didn’t run your church right! You are SO focused on $$ you can’t see past your nose! My small church of 200ppl runs a food pantry, free health clinic for uninsured, meals for elderly & rec center for underprivileged children. It’s a matter of DOing rather than complaining!

If all church members tothed appropriately & churches all functioned as they are called to do, there most certainly wouldn’t be the severity of issues as we see. However, the Bible says there will ALWAYS be poverty - & not once does it say gov’t or $$ is the answer.

Really? I read the Bible and see "give to the poor", "do justly by others" and "love thy neighbor" all over it. And in the Old Testament God is not just talking to individuals, He is talking to a nation.
