what is stopping the "collective us" from doing the right thing? We can, you know.
It's immoral to refuse to feed a hungry child. It's immoral to withhold from people basic tools they need in order to better themselves. It's immoral to give to the rich at the expense of the poor. Some things are not morally relative; they're simply the wrong thing to do.

Over the last few years too many of America's best became disconnected from politics, lost or never developed the "habits of democracy" necessary to foster and maintain a government "of the people, by the people and for the people." Now we have to hurry and play catch up.
