It can change if we change it. Our democracy is on life support but not dead yet; we have 2 election cycles left to revive it. If we show up big time in '18, '20, and '22, then we will save it. Otherwise, all bets are off.

Progress doesn't usually come as fast or in as big a chunk as we'd like, but we discredit our ancestors if we don't model the advances they made, in their time, to move it forward. We can do this. Let's encourage each other not to wimp out on something so important.
