As a Jew and as a passionate supporter of Israel, nothing could be WORSE than moving U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. It is a Trump/Netanyahu slap in the face of Muslim Arabs; an indignity bound to make Israel and the world less safe! m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5…

The Govt of Israel has long been in Jerusalem. Isn't it just a practical reality for the representatives of other Govts to be there too?

No not at all. Jerusalem is hugely important to 3 major religions. Eastern Jerusalem particularly a negotiated point in any serious peace talks. While Jewish state of Israel controls Jerusalem, the delicate balance of respect there is HUGELY important; this US move throws it off

There's also the delicate balance of supporting one of our greatest allies and the democratic count that stands between the West and any number of authoritarians and zealots - including Hamas.

This move in no way would do that.

Hamas 2day said they would 'open gates of hell'. These are people that should be negotiated with, be respected, & be somehow considered part of a delicate balance? I think not. It has been bi-partisan policy for decades to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

We are playing with peoples' lives here when we talk about that area of the world like it's some sort of La La Land. It's not. And you don't pour gasoline on a fire just to score some political points with a base that doesn't even understand the facts. And nor does he, by the way
