Whatever you do don't be what the world calls "realistic;" that's the last thing we can afford to be. Put on your wings now! Don't just stare at the darkness of what is; gaze into the Light of what could be. Don't just bemoan limited probability; commit to infinite possibility.

Or practice acceptance and the realisation that all things are impermanent and beyond our control.

And we should remember how many things ARE under our control! Humanity is responsible for how we choose to live in this world.

So you're recommending people be irrational? Delusional? Living in a fool's paradise? This may sound good, but any advice that says you should not be rational & realistic is not good advice. Optimistic & hopeful are good. Unrealistic is not.

It is our duty (pleasure) to remain vigilant, to be light in this world. To be what the world now thinks of as ‘realistic’ means to ‘accept’ the state of darkness that threatens. The truth is that ‘Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists.’ ~ a course in miracles
