We all agree stealing is bad, but there a difference between shoplifting and bank robbery and we punish them very differently. We need to apply the same sense of proportion to sexual violation; not every jerk out there deserves to have his life ruined or his career taken away.

You’re quite right about this, Marianne. It seems that people are having a hard time making the differentiation. We get the difference in your analogy. Seems the lines feel blurrier on these topics.
